Who Are We?
Stage Hands was founded by Robert C. Cardoza, Jr., in 2018 to provide ASL-interpreted services for the Performing Arts using qualified, certified, professional interpreters. Our goal is to provide equal communication access for all individuals in a professional and artistic manner. We strive to make it a pleasant experience for the venue and its patrons.

Traditional Interpreting
Interpreters are placed on either side of the stage.
Shadow Interpreting
An approach to sign language in the theater in which interpreters stay on the stage rather than off to the side. Sign Language interpreters “shadow” the actors, following them onstage while interpreting. By incorporating interpreters into the performance itself, theatres aim to provide a more seamless experience for the entire audience.
